About IMO Dangerous Goods Declaration Forms

Dear Customers,
For your units containing Dangerous Goods, it is obligatory to present relevant IMO documents with complete and accurate information. Please note that related units which have missing or inaccurate information in their IMO documents cannot be registered.
To ensure a safe, timely voyage and an unimpeded train transportation, the following points should be considered.
1- All fields marked with red are compulsory in the sample form which you can view through the link below.

2- Flammable label must be affixed to the unit. For the units arriving without a tag, proper label will be affixed by us at the port. This process is subject to extra charges.
3- For some flammable shipment types no packing group number is defined ( e.g. UN NO 3268 SAFETY DEVICES). Therefore, please ensure a packing group number is defined in IMO Book for the type of your shipment before you fill the relevant information line. For the shipment types which don’t have a defined packing group number in IMO book, this information line must be left blank.
4- Technical Name field -if there is any- must not be left blank. It must be filled as per the information on IMDG CODE list prepared by the International Maritime Organization (IMO).
5- Description of Goods and Technical Name should be different.
For instance, if the unit is carrying hand cleaning gel (UN NO: 1170), Description of Goods and Technical Name should be presented as follows:
Description of Goods: Hand Cleaning Gel
Technical Name: Ethanol (Ethyl alcohol) or Ethanol solution.
6- All forms must have:
- Number and type of packages
- Net and Gross weight
- UN Number and Class
- Stamp and Signature of company.
7- For some dangerous goods shipments, technical name is inadequate and substance details should also be specified with N.O.S. Examples are given below.
- UN1193, FLAMMABLE LIQUID N.O.S. (Ethanol Solution)
- UN 1993, FLAMMABLE LIQUID, N.O.S (contains methanol and acetone);
- UN 2902, PESTICIDE, LIQUID, TOXIC, N.O.S. (drazoxolon)
To avoid time and work loss, all these details must be carefully checked before IMO documents are handed over.
Please inform all your relevant departments accordingly.
Best Regards,
