U.N Pendik Ro-Ro Port

U.N Ro-Ro opened the new Pendik Ro-Ro Port as a part of the company’s ‘Fast Ro-Ro Project’ after buying 240 trailer capacity Ro-Ro vessels with service speed of 22 knots. The new port helped to relieve truck traffic in İstanbul.

 

U.N Ro-Ro Pendik Port has a parking area for 650 TIR units. The port opened with a ceremony attended by many guests including Prime Minister R. Tayyip Erdoğan on April 29th, 2006.

Transporters have gained 3 hours of driving time over Haydarpaşa for each trip, thanks to the Pendik Port which is built on 103.000 m2 for U.N Ro-Ro’s “Fast Ro-Ro Project”. Also the traffic caused by TIRs between Icerenkoy and Haydarpasa was prevented.
