Train Services within Italy for Semi Trailers / Containers

 

Dear Customers,

We are glad to announce two new intermodal train lines destined to the industrial area of Italy, Milano from the Port of Trieste. These two different train lines operating between the Port of Trieste and Milano is ideal for your cranable semi trailers as well as your containers to reach their final destinations with many connections in Europe especially to Ludwigshafen, Duisburg, Cologne, Munich in Germany, Venlo, Rotterdam in Netherlands, Antwerp, Zeebrugge in Belgium.

First intermodal train line runs between Trieste and Melzo (Milano). At the first phase, only containers would be carried and by the end of the year we are planning to start cranable semi trailer operations. On this line there are two roundtrips per week departing from the Trieste Port with service duration of 6 hours. Currently, there are various train connections from Melzo (Milano) to Duisburg, Cologne, Ludwigshafen in Germany, Rotterdam and Venlo in Netherlands, Zeebrugge in Belgium, Basel in Switzerland and Genova, Roma, La Spezia, Nola and Bari in Italy.

Second intermodal train line is operating between Trieste – Novara (Milano) which has three departures per week in both directions. Cranable semi trailers, swapbodies and other types of containers can be carried on this line. Below you may see the schedule and freight rates for this line. Currently there are 7 trains on 6 days of the week to Rotterdam, 8 trains on 6 days of the week to Köln, 3 trains per week to Ludwigshafen, 3 trains per week to Zeebrugge.

Transfer prices of vehicles from the vessel terminal to the train terminal in Trieste is EUR 35 for semi trailers and EUR 55 for other types of vehicles.
