FernettiGTMS Goes Live at Pendik Port
As DFDS, we are continuously making efforts to improve the quality of service for our customers. In an effort to manage our vessel loading, terminal planning and yard operations more efficiently, we'll launch Terminal Operating System GTMS at our Pendik terminal in Istanbul, on November 14, 2022.
As a part of this project, our yard will be divided into numbered parking positions and stacks with different purposes. Upon gate entrance, every unit will be given a parking position which will automatically defined by GTMS according to the type of the unit and the specific details of the cargo (e.g. IMO, temperature etc.). Every driver will be asked to drop their units to the parking positions that are given by gate staff. To ensure smooth entrance, please ensure all the trainings of your drivers are renewed and valid.
In addition to terminal entrance / leaving and vessel loading / discharging times, this system will also allow us to track down the in-field movements of the units in a better way. It will accelerate the handling process as well. You can see our new yard structure through this link.

To run this workflow efficiently and accurately, it is essential that you make your booking requests with unit types, plate numbers and specific details (e.g. IMO, temperature etc.) in advance via our online reservation system My Freight, before your units arrive at Pendik Port.
