    2nd GENERATION FLEET

DFDS owns two vessels of this series: Gallipoli Seaways and Olympos Seaways. These ‘second generation vessels’ were designed and built by FSG. These vessels are faster, have greater capacity and more fuel-efficient than the previous ro-ro vessels built by FSG. Cargo handling is much easier with these vessels as well; the vessels are equipped with two moderate speed MAK 9M43 diesel engines and have a fourth deck that allows more economic operation as well as a greater number of vehicles on board. All vessels have shaft generators which eliminate the need for the diesel generators to be running while sailing, allowing savings on bunker fuel and machine maintenance. Antiroll tanks reduce the roll motion considerably and maintain stability on the attached deck. One loading or discharging operation can take approximately five to six hours depending on cargo loads and port operations. All vessels are in compliance with the European Union and the Turkish Environmental Legislation.

    3rd GENERATION FLEET

DFDS has four third generation vessels: Assos Seaways, Artemis Seaways, Aspendos Seaways and Dardanelles Seaways. This generation maintains the superior features of the second generation while offering 15 percent greater capacity. A 193-meter-long vessel of this series is able to carry 235 vehicles (50 percent complete units and 50 percent semi-trailers) or 254 semi-trailers. Wide lanes and ramps on these vessels enable simultaneous operations on four decks and allow loading and unloading at the same time. All vessels are in compliance with the European Union and the Turkish Environmental Legislation.

    4th GENERATION FLEET

The company owns four vessels from this series: Zeugma Seaways, Sumela Seaways, Myra Seaways and Galata Seaways. Most of the third generation features are available in this series. Zeugma Seaways and Sumela Seaways were built and delivered to the Company in 2008; Myra Seaways in 2009 and Galata Seaways in 2010. These vessels are equipped with two moderate speed MAK 9M43C engines, which are 300 kW more powerful than the previously used MAK 9M43 engines. All vessels are in compliance with the European Union and the Turkish Environmental Legislation.

    5th GENERATION FLEET

Pergamon Seaways, as the first fifth generation vessel of the Company has been delivered in 2013. Pergamon Seaways is 208 meter long and has 280 trailer capacity. Most of the fourth generation features are also available in this new series. This vessel has 2 MAN main engines with total capacity of 9600 kW. Like the other vessels of the Company, Pergamon Seaways complies with the European Union and the Turkish Environmental Legislation.
