FernettiBAF Rates (October 2025)
Dear Customers,
As of 1 October 2025, BAF rates applied to the freight rates of units transported on our lines have been determined according to the changes in foreign exchange rates, fuel prices, the BAF Scale available on our website and as per 2025 Customer Announcement. Please see below shown tables for BAF rates of standard units and containers for October 2025.
As of May 1 2025, in accordance with the MARPOL regulations of the International Maritime Organization (IMO), the Mediterranean Region in which we operate has been included in the Emission Control Area (ECA). As a result, the sulphur content of fuels used on vessels in the region must not exceed 0.1%. Therefore, the 0.5% VLSFO which was previously used as the basis for our BAF scale has been replaced with 0.1% ULSFO as of May 1 2025. No changes have been made to the scale itself or the calculation and communication methods used.
